Alternative Sound Systems

Nice.

FWIW, I mounted a conventional auto stereo in my 59 TR3A by just not replacing the cardboard cubby box and fabbing some brackets to hold the stereo in it's place. Open the cubby box door to change discs, or I could stick my hand up behind the door to adjust sound level, change tracks and so on. Totally invisible with the door closed (although the speakers in the kick panels and the radio antenna were give-aways that there was a stereo somewhere).
