67 3000 Fluids Question

Getting ready to put my 67 3000 on the road that has been sitting since 1986. Want to change all the fluids. Is there a list somewhere of weights and capacities of all the lubricants in the car? Or maybe someone could just list them. Thanks, Rick

Oil capacity is about 7.5 US quarts. I put in 7 at change with a new spin-on filter and the dipstick registers about 1/4" below max. Coolant is about 2.5 US gallons if you've drained the block and radiator completely. Brake fluid, well, since the car has been sitting for 28 years a complete flush is in order; expect to use at least a quart. Beer--about a six-pack (after you've finished your test drive, of course).

Good chance that the diaphragms in the carbs are petrified, so I wouldn't rule out having to rebuild them.

If you can indeed, get a Healey on the road after 28 years with only a change of fluids, you're probably more qualified to run our country than...

Thanks Andrea, That chart is what I was looking for. The chart tells capacity of the diff and trans etc. but not what weight should be used. Rick PS Oil change brakes and carbs are done. What weight is for the trans and rear axel

Subject of much, err, conversation. Book for the gearbox/OD is 30W non-detergent. Many use it with good results. I've used 20W-50 (detergent) with good results for many miles; now use Redline MT-90 which provides a bit smoother shifting and a larger puddle on the garage floor. Rear axle/diff book calls for 90W gear oil; can use multi-vis equivalent (85W-90, 85W-140, etc.). I use Redline gear oil (85W-90 IIRC).

30 wt. oil non-detergent is recommended for transmission. 90 weight gear oil for differential.
