Very cool. I have the Jefferson 500 at Summit Point May 13-15 and then the new Hampshire Vintage the following weekend. I just put the pistons in my race engine. Still needs the head installed plus lots of other stuff. Then pull the old engine out and put this one in. But I'll make it!

By the way, I saw Hulme's M8F racing "back in the day" several times. Revson and Bruce too.

I would love to go but, no one to travel with and I hate just wandering around alone. I did that for two years at the Monterey, then my sister invited one of her friends to join me and it was worse than being alone. The guy was so full of himself and all he wanted to do was sit in the beer garden and tell people about all the race cars he owns, who he knows, who he doesn't like and all the money he has and wasn't interested in walking the pits to get up close and personal with the owners, mechanics and drivers. He was bored and made sure everyone knew it. It made me so mad I made my excuses and left a day early just to get away from him. I go to these events to learn about historic race vehicles, the drivers and watch them take care of these cars, they have adopted, so we can enjoy them. All the participants are so glad to show you around the cars and tell you all the interesting things about how they found them, what they had to do to restore them and are most generous about sharing their love of the sport.

That's my favorite part of spectating at a vintage race!

Ditto.

When I'm not racing my self, I love to go and see other people's cars. I've never run my car at the Lime Rock Vintage, but I usually go to spectate.

~HERE~ are photos from the 2010 event.

Hey Dougie, just saw results and pix of the races on Sports Car Digest Weekly, and see that you rated two (2) photos. Congrats!

Thanks Jim -

It rained pretty heavy the whole weekend and I managed only 1 dry session in 4 days. The event ended on a sour note for me however as I got too friendly with a tire wall in Sundays main event on the last lap. I'll post more details later. Here's the good times......and yes I held him off.

I counted three on Sports Car Digest's webpage.

As I mentioned the Cali weather really let me down, 10 hours to drive to Sonoma, CA and climate was no different then what I left in Portland, OR. I can't give all the details because I promised Reid an article for The Healey Marque, but here's what it looked like form behind the wheel.
