2 weeks in, plugging along with the progress

So now I'm two weeks into my something-every-day plan, and so far I've managed to get some small things done. This last week I got a big order into Tony for most of the rest of the bits I'll need, and got the old rear brakes off the Tunebug. The later-style backing plates are cleaned and ready for paint, and all the pieces ready for assembly (I'll need some help/pictures there for sure).

This coming week I hope to have the backing plates and rear diff painted, and the new rear brakes assembled on the car. Then it's time to work on the brake lines to the rear of the car, as well as the hand brake.

Keep me posted on your rear brake conversion. I'll be doing that soon too! I didn't know you had to have the drums milled, that was news to me. But keep going man!

That was news to me as well, but certainly seems doable.

I'm hoping to have the rear brakes (including lines and parking brake) buttoned up in the next week or two if all goes well. Then I'll finally have something accomplished!

Frank (spritenut) uses a grinder, but most any place that turns drums/rotors with do it for you and save you the mess.
