1953 Armstrong-Siddley Sapphire

Just spotted this on eBay:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Armstrong...d=p4506.c0.m245

Owner states "This particular example is in need of a near complete restoration.".

Can someone tell me what I am missing? I don't see a car in need of a complete resotration, imho. Sure it has bumps, dings and wear....all liveable....

Looks rather elegant and stately to me.....could be a really nice find if the price stays low....

Oh my, that is pretty isn't it.

I suspect the "complete restoration" means everything is tatty.

Of course your comment about not seeing it may just be an indicator that LBC owners have lower standards and/or that love is blind

She actually is a bit rough, but the motor looks absolutely cracking. Too bad fixing the motor is the easiest part of all the work this thing needs.

Floors a bit rusty, I am sure the body mounts are off and chassis probably in need of attention. Thankfully the pre-selector box is easily repaired if needed in the UK...
