100-6/ 3000 tri carb set up

Hello, does anyone know if you can bolt up a tri carb set on a car that does not have the tri carb exhaust manifold? I hate to pull everything off only to find out ot wont fit. Thanks

You will need the tri carb exhaust manifolds. Do a search for Bill Bolton in Oregon and he can most likly fix you up with all your needs.

The 3000 tri carb manifolds will fit with Al Kirk tube headers.

mmotors, ya got me thinking, can a tricarb intake manifold be drilled/bored to accept 2 inch (bj8) carbs?

Not sure about that, but several vendors sell the 2" tricarb manifolds...

there was recently a set modified to fit 2 inch on e-bay from Healey Haven(no bids so he still should have). Some tig welding was required, so simply boring out apparently isn't possible. I would wonder if the bonnet clear. would be an issue.

A while back, someone said they were temporarily not available, due to fitment issues, but if anyone had bought regular steel headers from any of the usual sources in the last thirty years, Al was the guy that made them (my 1st set came from Sports & Classics, in 1978).

If he says he doesn't want to make them, be persistent (but pleasant)!

I've been told that you can go to 1.75" hole, but that is a lot of work. It would be probably better to locate a Ruddspeed manifold that is already set-up for 1.75" carbs. They came in L/H(USA)& R/H(UK)versions.

Going to 2" HD8's involves having to have Headers(a must) according to Nick at Nical Engineering in UK.
