Hello, Everyone,

Into the Night Rally Team wants to invite all of you to Midnight Run 2014 on September 27. Start will be in Lebec at the ever-popular Flying J. We'll open up in the Denny's at 9am. If you have not done one of these events, please be there by11am. There will be a mandatory Entrants' meeting at 12 noon, and the first car will head out at 12:31PM. Checkwww.itnrally.org for more info.

The event runs just about 11 hours and will Finish in the metropolis of Grapevine, about 15 miles from the Start. Please email me at carzero@aol.com if you need hotel information.

Nathan Harris has put together a beautiful course, running a wide variety of terrain with incredible views and very scenic countryside. Sweeping ridge roads in the mountains. A couple of steep canyons. Farmland, river valleys, quaint little towns, etc. It should be a really nice drive.

We will be running checkout on Sept. 6, so if you are unable to run the rally itself, or if you just want to help us work the rally, please call 310 350 1360 and join us on checkout. We do still need 2 more checkpoint captains to work the event.

If you have any questions, please email or call. Contact info is above.

See you at Standoff.

Message from Joe, the Rallymaster: Temps should be moderate, down 20 degrees from a few weeks ago. Gas prices are down. Price of 87 at the halfway break was 3.45/gal yesterday. WIDE variety of roads. Lots of long straights. Many roads largely deserted. Ridges, canyons, river roads, farmlands, BIG trees, a few miles through a redwood grove, spectacular views, a run along the stream of a mini-grand canyon with cliffs towering up right next to the road - making precise apexing critical. A really good, well-balanced, something-for-everyone rally. Last big rally of the year!
