Spitfire removing emission control system

hello,
i resently baught a triumph spitfire 1500 with emission control system(2canisters,vacuum pipe to manifold,air pump,egr valve and a lot of hoses) is it possible to remove all this?dont i have to change the carburettor?(single zenith cd carb is mounted now)or can i just plug the holes for the hosses from the emission control system on my carburettor .and can i plug the hole on the cranckcase,or does it have to go to the carb.excuse me for my bad english but im doing my best

I think there are three answers:
First, and most true, is you should fix it to proper working condition and see if you like it. Pollution equipment wears out at least as fast as any other part of the car. Your Spit is I'm guessing early 80's? The pollution stuff was pretty much designed in to the engine.
Second, and only if it is legal where you license the car, you can alter the parameters of the pollution equipment to get by some of the most annoying characteristics. For example an EGR system can have the vacuum delay replaced with a slower responding unit. That takes the edge off the power drop when it opens a little. The air injection bothers people who think it draws horsepower, which it does a little. A larger diameter pulley will reduce the load at the expense of pump output and delay some of the catalytic converter function. (personally I never felt manifold after-burn was helpful). A functioning converter is actually a good thing. The cam characteristics are not adjustable, as are not the advance curve of the stock dist.
Third answer is not for most owners. You can "revert" the drive-train to the type in non-pollution equipped cars. You probably need a lot of parts from an older Spit. Again, check what your laws allow for the age of your vehicle.
