The only benefit would come during 2000+RPM clutch-drop to WOT acceleration runs, where the TR3 is indeed prone to axle hop. (My TR3, which was stock, hopped much like my 2002 Corvette. Heck, it did it so violently once during performance testing that the throttle linkage popped loose!) Honestly, though, how often are you going to abuse your clutch, transmission, differential, axles and wheels like that? I can't even speak to how much benefit the traction bars would provide, since it's not a well-known application.
