Prior to about 195-something, the Army uniform iincluded "Brown Shoes". Sometime in the mid-50's they changed to black. People who remember the Brown Shoe days are - OLD!

I served with a few of those "old" guys. One of 'em is a friend here... he's tappin' 80. "The brown shoe days". :wink:

My Dad was a Brown Shoe. Combat Medic in WWII.
