Hey Folks,
I'm wondering if y'all can help me. I'm looking at the diagram in my
TR8, manual for the Crankshaft Vibration Damper. In the diagram there
are two versions, one which shows three pulleys and the other that
shows 2 pulleys (I presume the difference is AC vs Non-AC cars).
There's also a funny plate (602587). The final part is labelled with a
designation of NSS.
I've double checked against a VB catalog I have here on hand, and the
only part they sell is 602587 which they describe as a reinforcing
plate. Is this the rubber sandwich plate that needs to be replaced? or
is the harmonic damper the oddly shaped item designated NSS?
I've finally got my alternator pulley and water pump lined up
correctly, but the pump is still squealing, so my thought (which was
followed on by a separate recommendation) was to look into replacing
the harmonic dampener.
Thanks in advance! I'm trying to get all this sorted before Triumphfest!
