It's Raining Again.....

Wife held a garage sale,a guy saw the nice
engine hoist in the garage,& asked if it was for sale.
I told him "No - but I've got one that "breaks down",
for storage that I'd sell.
He came by,& gave me $60 for it.I thought "Great-
I can start putting away some money".I thought that I could
start getting ahead,again.
But then the Dakota quits,& won't restart.Had it
towed to the shop to find the problem.I was told that the
fuel pump's bad (of course it's IN the fuel tank).
Whe're leaving for Disneyland Saturday<7 I don't
have the time/knowelge to fix it - $400 +.
When it rains - it pours.

Drop tank, remove old pump, install new, replace tank. Not hard at all. An afternoon and you're done.

Some folks take out the bed bolts and tip the bed.

What year is it again?

Billy,

It's a '95 4WD.I already told the shop to fix it.
If I had to do it,it might not get done.

Doug - have you considered maybe *not* doing all those big trips until *after* you've got some money put away?

Just a thought.

I was kinda thinking the same thing. Then again, life's too short.

I know for me, my wife taking a vacation is more important than $$$.

The trip is the Wife's doing - it's for our Granddaughter.
I could care less if I ever go to LA again.I'd rather go North.
We don't know how long our Granddaughter will be living
with us,& she'll be 8 in March.
