    Well this cannot be good

    Was about to pull the front seal on the gearbox (I've never run this box mind you) and noticed this;

    Wow...it sounded as if you were winding it up! Probably not a good sign....

    Should be sound there Marv, maybe you are lucky you couldn't hear it as it is pretty nasty.

    Andy - the box needs to come apart, no?

    Don't worry just yet, it sounds like it just may be the reverse idler gear, possibly the top was taken off and the lever isn't set right with it?

    No shame there Tom, I recognized the noise because I've been there too!

    Aren't you glad you asked before you took it apart?

    No....the transmission in the first picture is a TOTALLY different color than the one in the second picture.....two completely different transmissions. They faked putting men on the moon, it's REALLY easy to fake before and after pics! LoL

    Kidding aside, looks great all cleaned up and glad the "problem" wasn't a problem after all.

    Good to see the younger generation getting involved in our hobby. Looks like he might be able to slip underneath and clean some of the undercarrge for you without having to remove any assemblies :-)
