James,

Thanks! - I received an email from a friend - Wow!
I just read it,& I'm in shock.He's one of the people who'd
I thought would be around FOREVER.
He put on the California Mille,a 1000 mile tour of
California roads. They stayed here in Eureka many times - we
got to see INCREDIBLE cars in our own backyard.I never got to
thank him for doing that.
A few years back,I took our Cortina MKIII to meet
the Mille group for lunch in Ferndale,CA.Martin told me that
he remembered them from his time in Europe.Made my day!
I had a few breif discussions with him.Although
he had a LOT more money than I ever will,he was still willing
to take the time to talk with me.A true car guy.
I will make another post about another great
car person - we're losing some of the greats who "were there"
when racing was great,& doing stuff that would probably get you
put in jail today.

- Doug
