To complicate your question, the Mk1 rack was different than those that came later. Do you know the age/vintage of the rack you want to use?

One of the first things to do in trying to correct bump steer is to understand what creates bump steer.
I'm not trying to imply that you don't, but I didn't until I really researched the issue.

You might want to look ~HERE~ , at some sand-rail racks. Might have something that would work and they're pretty narrow.
