New Jaguars

We have a 1996 Jag XJ ^ Vanden Plas...Love it. We are considering a new one...2003 and have not had the opportunity to "talk" to anyone who has a new one ( 2001 or 2002). My questions are: Since redesign and becoming Forderized, Do they still ride, handle and drive like a Jaguar. Ford owns so many manufacturung facilities that I would hope that they are still Jaguar and not Escorts chasis with a Jag symbol. The older models weighed 5ooo pounds and handled quite well. If the new models and designs are trending toward lighter metals for ease of manufacturing...so the designs can be produced w/o fiberglass and plastic...will they still handle and ride like a Jag should. Anyone who has a new model and has had an older model...let me know the facts. Thanks.

Steve,

If you can wait just a little longer you will be able to get truly the most cutting edge Jaguar in history. Its the new one coming out sometime late in 2003 or sometime 2004..

If you can hold on to what you have the new aluminum Chassis Jaguar premere sedan will eclipse all XJ's before.

The spy shots are in the magazines now..(with camoflage) sp ..

That means we're very close to seeing it hit the streets
