I'm not much of a Europa fan but I like this car. I don't think I'd bid without seeing it & meeting the owner, though (& asking about the color, among other things).
It's probably worth what a decent twin cam goes for but I'd stay well south of $35K.
Gordini cross flo turbo charged Hemi 4 cycle engine, but they don't how many cylinders it has?
Oh yeah, wouldn't want you to think it was one of those all too common 2-cylinder 2-stroke Europas. They just don't flo good enough.
Regardless of the doofus that wrote the ad it does look like a fun toy. I'd love to drive it. I sort'a like the color. Besides, polychromatic paint rarely photographs accurately. It may look less purple in person.
The guy might even have receipts that add up to $35k. A lot of custom work obviously went into it. If he'd paid people to do it all it would add up fast. Not that that would make it worth it to me. If I were going to go nuts on a Europa I'd sure do it differently.
I like it. The color looks fine to me, and the wing is a natural ( almost like a small Lambo..)
0 to 60mph is decent at 7.5 seconds. Could be some traction issues, it's a pretty light car, and some turbo's can give a good whack! $35k is a bit of a dream though...
I think my 71 Europa with the 45DCOE could make 60 in 7.5 seconds. I'm sure the 100mph comes at 7.5 sec for that one....If I remember right, 100mph in a F1 car comes in about 3.5sec-- Now that's Fast!!
