Austin Healey: The difference in specification between the models at a glance.

Bighly,
Some minor corrections to your otherwise very helpful list. BN6 - 2-seater 100-6's - were not produced until March of 1958 and ended in March of 1959 with the introduction of the 3000. All BN6's were made at Abingdon and had the later improved 12-port head. Only Longbridge BN4's had the early gallery head. I own a BN6 that was produced in Aug. of 1958 and it has the ribbed hood. I think some very early 3000's may have even had these hoods. My understanding was that the rib was added as a styling/structural exercise that was later abandoned but used in production until supply was used up.
Thanks for the list and keep up the good work.

Mk1

March 1959, 6 cylinder 2,912cc Disc brakes to front. Same appearance as 100/6 + boot lid badge 3000. The thermo carbs were later abandoned reverting back to manual choke.
