Car has 2 fuel pumps, pre pump in tank, and main under car. If you buy it, go to Volvo dealer (want dealer parts for this) and buy a "radio suppression relay", and the"Fuel pump relay". Replace them, and toss the originals (if they indeed work) in the glovebox. Radio relay is underhood, and most of the injection and ignition systems work thru it. Don't be fooled by the name....Fuel pump relay is self explanitory. Both do fail, and will strand the car. AC "climate control" units can fail, remove control head from dash, open and re solder. Beware of the distributor caps as well. PITA to change, and they often crack, or just track under the black plastic "shield" they have on them. A lot of folks remove the shield before fitting them, doesn't make them any easier to fix, just easier to spot when they fail.
