To be honest JB, no, I don't like. I think they really screwed up the looks of the Vette with the C6. I have seen the new C6 up close and honestly I don't care for it. I hate the way they have sharpened all the lines and turned what were curves on the C5 into sharp angles on the C6. And the interior - yuck! The steering wheel is from a Malibu! And what's with all that ricy looking fake metal trim? Nope, its not for me. I'll just have to be happy with the C5. I'm sure the C6 (and the Z06) is a great car, but its looks just doesn't float my boat. We'll see what the C7 looks like in a few years /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/iagree.gif You are absolutely right Bas. I think I actually like it better in the photo without the body bolted on.

Well, they better be giving you all that stuff for a sticker well north of $70 grand (I heard average sticker will be $74K). This car is going to be $20 grand more than the last Z06, I certainly hope it's $20 grand better, because if I bought a used C5 Z06 and dumped 20 grand into it I bet I could build something that will smoke the C6 based car. For that much, it better not have a darn Malibu steering wheel! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif

Styling wise I like some of what they did with this car and some of it I think I liked better on the C5. Overall I think it looks more European in design, which is good in some respects but I think it's lost a little of that character that makes a Vette a Vette. In my opinion the front end has gotten a little to generic looking. I was surprised about the roof panel not being removable, the last I read I thought they said it would be removable, whatever, small detail.

I don't like the flares...looks "tacked-on" and cheap. I don't think they'll sell as well as they think. The last time there was a "king of the hill" Corvette it was the ZR1 at $75K, and dealers were flooring them for two years!

I don't mind the C6 looks...I think it looks nice, but not necessarily better than the C5.

And I would never own a Z06 without being available in convertible trim...Heck you could get a 1967-1969 L88 or 1969 ZL1 roadster, why not a Z06?

My son has a 02 C5 Z06 he bought with just 9k miles on the clock for $34k. I'd venture that he has as much fun in his at half the price (of course his is used, if only slightly).

My favorite years are 1965 and 66. Never liked any of the newer Vettes much. Was looking at the 1950's Vettes. Prices are incredible.

I just saw one at the Auto Show last night. The body lines on the door are a little odd, at first I thought it was a dent, but it is just the way they come together.
