I know that a 5 speed for a Toyota Supra can be transplanted into a Big Healey, but does anyone know what year transmissions can be used? And what is involved with the conversion?

You should call Smitty @ 805-495-1488 and ask him to send you an installation manual.

There is also some installation advice at the following site. It's the first item under the tech article section

Now my opinion ... I wouldn't do it because I would really miss the electric overdrive of the stock set-up.
