I remember the Topolinos, so I am puzzled they'd use the same designator.

I took a hard look at the new 500s not long ago, they seem like interesting cars, with lots of power options (at least in Europe). The Abarth model looks like a rocket, too.

However, for the money, there's a bit of competition from other, similar cars. The cockpit looks at bit cramped, but then, I've never seen one in person.

Fuel economy is very good on most (non turbo) models.

I'd love to drive one, really check it out.

Anyone else???

Neat looking little cars. Less expensive than a MINI, but in the same rough category -- somewhat fashion over practical. That's not a bad thing, though, as it's a nice looking little car and sometimes it's worth a bit of fun over the purely practical.

Can't wait to see one in person, though it may be a while before there's a dealer here in UT.

Finally saw one on the road today.

Looked pretty cool, even if it was silver, which is about the worst color I could possibly imagine for the car.

I'd love to get my hands on an Abarth.

I finally saw one up close at the Chicago Auto Show. There's more room inside than you might think-I'm quite tall and fit just fine. Cargo space is on par with Das MINI, so fine for a week's shop for a family of two or three.

I would rather have one than a Mini, mainly because I can't stand the interior styling of the Mini-it's horribly overwrought. The 500's is a much simpler design, I was able to sort out all the controls in about a minute.

The Fiat has the added bonus of being a heck of a lot cheaper compared to a similarly spec'd Mini. I did a Sport on the website and it came to about $18.5K MSRP, a similarly contented Cooper (non S) is $22K. Heck, base is way more.

They are, from what I have heard, more fun to drive than a Mini, they are certainly several thousand bucks cheaper. Nicely designed, fit and finish are good, I would buy one in a heartbeat..... I think they hit a home run with this car!
