I rent a shed to a friend who stores the very first Vixen in there. It has an MGB lump in it.

If only he would take it to Reno!

The Vixen would be nice with the 1800 3 main engine - i liked the Ford 1600 S2 i got to borrow

The new manufacturing method of metal fused deposition modeling may get me to an 1800 Twin cam

One day - maybe soon

With billet 427 FE Fords - can Aluminum block Ford Kent and BMC A and B's 's be far behind

The first few Vixen SI's where fitted with MGB lumps. This due to them being leftover from the end of production of the 1800S. I believe that the number built wes 5.

I have read that 12 Vixens came with MGB engines.

Probably depends on what book you read. I did restore one of them a few years ago. It is a vintage racer that lives in Florida...had a Huffaker "B" motor fitted.

Many mods to the lower end. Solid blocks to crank and studed. Brilliant work. I am sure that the design has been copied by other builders?
Be sure to balance the whole lot before getting happy.
