Hmmmm.... guessing a 0.25 stamped into the head face that fits against the block is probably not a good sign if the head is warped at present. Does anyone know if there is a reason for the stamping other than the head already having been milled? (made from casting number 25 at the factory maybe? ::hopeful look: Is it worth messing with or should I start looking for another head?
Oh, thanks for the reply to my earlier post. It's a '76 TR7. This is my second go around. My lovely spouse let me get a '75 back in the day. Was our only car for around 3 years and 55,000 miles. Only replaced the fan coupling and front shocks on that one along with regular maintenance. Reading all the horror stories about them and their head problems has me a little nervous about my new toy now.
