Finally.
I suppose this isn’t too bad for a rattle can paint job.
This hood was rusty, pitted. Lots of wire wheel work, lots of sanding. Some glazing compound to fill the pits and lots of filler primer.
Rust killer then primer, then sanding, then primer, then glazing compound then sanding then primer... (rinse & repeat about 8 times).
Then about 6 layers of acrylic lacquer paint in the “Flash Red” color.
After that I used a container of ‘polishing compound’ and the electric buffer, then a couple coats of wax.
At least I got that Buick hood off the car!
