I just completely overhauled the suspension on my 74 MK III Midget and removed at 3/4" sway bar and replaced it with a 1/2" bar. Used hardware from Moss, rubber bushes (black).
I don't drive my Midget aggressively (well, at least not much) and desired a mostly stock suspension setup. Or, at least as stock as you can get with modern components. The 3/4" sway bar may be considered a bit "aggressive" and stiff for the stock suspension setup. Others here may differ, but that's the input I received from professionals and other, knowledgable folks that I trust.
The sway bar really improves handling and provides a noticable difference. I highly recommend them. Your decision on the 3/4 or 1/2 bar may also be influenced by the condition of your front suspension. Is is in excellent condition and/or new? If not, the 3/4 bar may introduce more stress than the 1/2 bar, maybe not a good idea for a tired suspension.
Anyone else???
