Dash out of an old Land Rover?
I'm with Tony. Looks very 'Jeepish' and since Land Rovers are more plentiful down under...except for WWII leftovers from us Yanks.
A 1965:
But it just doesn't seem quite right, unless it is a Series I (which I have found no pics of)
Not a Toyota Land Cruiser as their dash is curved at top.
And not, I think, a Jeep as they may have had full width dash.

BTW: Back to the thread...OZ I am very interested in finding out what the dash panel is from....I agree with Tony it is out of a ROver/Jeep "type" vehicle but have looked at more British dash panels than I care to admit and found none with that layout...let alone square auxiliary gauges....who are the gauges made by?

The speedo on the right makes me wonder if it's from a RHD vehicle.
This one below is military, but civilian version might have been more "fancy". The general layout is similar.
