Quick answers to your questions:
Typical show, swarms and dearths? True, but I like 'em all. There were around ten MGBs, a couple MGCs, couple of BGTs. Three Midgets and three BEs. A lot of TDs. Some others.
There were a dozen or so Minis (I can never get enough of Minis), another dozens of Jags, TR6s, TR4s. A few TR250s, TR3s, TR2s. A really great Triumph Sports 6 (Vitesse); I always wanted one of those. Couple of Big Healys, RR's and Bentleys, TVRs, a few Lotus. (Loutis's? Lotusi? you know what I mean.) A very nice Aston, various oddballs, a small French contingent, one great old Fiat 500, and one weird Nissan. And the only bike, a really nice BSA. Good selection of cars, not too many to see on one day, and not too few, if you follow.
Drove my Midget there, of course. About 200 miles RT, 65 to 70 MPH in light rain. Passed by quite a few trailers, but I'm sure some of the others drove their cars to the event as well.
I believe the site of the show was the same as last year (which I could not make), at the Harlingsdale Farm Park in Franklin.
Thanks for the heads up on the Chattanooga show. I'll try to make it, if it's at all possible.
Cheers~
