Rover 9/20

I have just purchased a 1926 Rover 9/20. I would appreciate if any of you Guys could point me in the right direction to find out more information about this model.

I am based in the UK and while on Holiday, we traveled to Lands End and saw the car, my daughters bullied me into buying the car, but I have very little knowledge of vintage Cars as previously I have owned MG's and Morris Minors.

Michael

Hmmm... I don't claim to know much about vintage cars either, most of my knowledge of car history begins at around 1948...

But I believe there are clubs/organizations in the U.K. that specialize in vintage cars of all makes, there is an excellent club listing in the magazine Practical Classics that should be able to point you in the right direction.

Oh yeah, and sounds like a really neat car, road worthy right now? pictures?

Member Ken G. has a 1925 Rover 16/50. He is based in California. There is another recent member, pj777, who is based in the UK, who has a vintage 1924 Bean and a 1933 Sunbeam.

Yes, mighte (what sort of a name is that?!), welcome. How about posting a picture. What state is your car in? Does it go? I hope you know what you have let yourself in for (if it's your daughters' fault, they should become mechanics too).

I would assume there are some similarities between a 1926 9/20 and my 1925 16/50. If when you get into it, you have questions, I would be pleased to try to help. The first and essential item to obtain if you haven't got it already is the owner's manual, which, if it's like mine, is also a very detailed service manual. If you haven't got it, I think someone at the Rover Sports Register will be able to help.

Thanks for the reply, I do not have a picture yet as it is being deliveried in a few weeks. Th car is running and is an older restoration, but could do with some cosmetic improvement, but is fully usable. Before the car is deliveried I have arrange for a afternoon of instruction with the owner, I will let you know how I get on.
I will be joining the Rover Sports Register, and will source the owners manual

Your car is a 16/50 do you have any pictures ?

Thanks for your help
