My bluegrass band did the Texas swing band part for the play, "Always, Patsy Cline", here in Charlotte several years ago. Banjo player played pedal steel, Mandolin swapped to electric guitar, accoustic guitar and bass stayed the same with added keyboard and drums. Gal playing Patsy was a near perfect imitation, looks and voice, and we had so much fun it was almost embarasing to take the money. The band is on stage and plays a part as well as the music. On top of it all, we got pretty good reviews from the local critic who always finds faults to point out.
FUN, FUN, FUN!
