Thanks for more photos!

Again, the lovely Cresta. Tail lights to absouletly die for. That old Rover has a soft spot in my heart, also. And a Borgward coupe?!?! Wow. Someone I knew in High School had a Borgward Isabella sedan. Nice appointmects, almost Rover-like.

Jealous of your Healey, too.

Just reviewing the other photos, I see a nice shot of an E3 BMW. I have one of those; a 1973 3.0sa in Malaga.

Couple of shots from a recent run, nicknamed “The Pothole Run”!

That Bristol is sweet! Wasn't the Delorean made there in Ireland?

appalling quality video but always makes me laugh. Last year I think we had 16 Deloreans at British Car Day - weird to think of them qualifying.

Northern Ireland, in Belfast.

Which is technically in the UK, making this a "British" car.

There are many folks who wish that we could call this an Irish car and that there was only one Ireland (I'm one of them).
But that's topic which could lead to a conversation that isn't suitable here.

Is there such a thing as an "Irish Car Show?".

If you're asking if there is car shows in the Republic of Ireland: of course there are.

If you are asking if there are/were any cars built in the Republic of Ireland, that's a different question.

There was the Shamrock car built by Shamrock Motors Ltd in Monaghan in the mid 50s. It was a horrid fiberglass sports car powered by an Austin engine.

Also, the TMC Costin built in Wexford. It was sort of a Lotus Seven type car. Panoz bought them out and still builds the kits in the US.

The first VWs built outside of Germany were built from "completely knocked down" (CKD) kits in the Dublin area in the early 50s. When I was a little kid living in Kilkenny, one of our neighbours had one of these "Irish VWs".
Other CKD cars were built in the Irish Republic. Even a small number of MGAs were built in Ireland with this method.

In terms of Northern Ireland, the Delorean and the Crosslé (racing cars) come to mind.
But there have been many other CKD cars built in Northern Ireland (mostly in the Belfast area).

Nial,

That was strictly tongue-in-cheek.
If they had a show,it would probably be a small one.
I had to look twice at the pictures of the
Yellow Cortina MKIII,as I used to own one just like it,
only mine was a two door.
