My engine is nearly completed at the machine shop. Found a new head and it has been milled as well as the crank (.020) and cam. Should I assemble the engine now or should I store it until I finish the body and frame restoration? If I should wait how should I store the finished parts?

Personally, I would wait. Coat everything in preservative oil, and store it where it's warm and dry.

Sorry, don't have a recommendation for preservative oil. I've been somewhat disappointed with the Cosmolene product I've been trying, but it turns out I got the wrong kind. I'm trying CRC SP-400 next.

Not THAT old ... just remembered being told that Cosmolene was that gunk found on war surplus items, which always seemed to be well preserved.

I'm not even sure it's the same company, but the stuff I bought sure isn't what the Army used to use.
