Does the entire front lift up? I don't see any hood lines......

I don't think so. The hood is fairly small and flat; if you look carefully at the end-on shot, you can just make out some curved lines between the grill and the hood ornament that I believe is where the hood opens.

Also from that Austin ad: "These were NOT mass imported into the U.S.!" I'm not sure what the seller is trying to say, but these Austins WERE officially imported to the US when new and often advertised in major magazines such as <span style="font-style: italic">The New Yorker</span> and others. Back around 1970, there was one of these in front of a junkyard not too far from my house. It was in pretty good shape except for some rust in the sills...and I wanted the car so desperately! (I was also intrigued by the fact that it had a TR3 engine sitting in the interior, but that's not why I wanted the Austin!) Unfortunately, some drunk plowed through the yard one night, completely destroying the poor Austin. :frown:

Oh, and the Bond Equipe is pretty cool as well, at least to those of us who recognize the heritage (some Herald body and chassis structure and Spitfire running gear)!
