Tom, I'm preparing to do the same thing, only with the windscreen frame removed as I'm stripping the car for a new paint job this weekend.
I'm told there are two bolts at each corner of the windscreen that secure it to the top, and three bolts on the bottom that hold the windscreen to the scuttle. Of course, the frontmost part of the headliner must be removed, or peeled back, to gain access to the top bolts.
I also have to remove my dash top, which should be easier after the bottom windscreen-to-scuttle bolts are removed.
It's usually a good idea to be prepared to perform some rust abatement and painting around the windscreen frame area. This area is a haven for rust and often requires attention.
