    Ahhh James.....so close, so close.

I am down to the rubber gasket around the bottom of the hardtop that cushions it against the body. Been ordered. It is supposed to be in the 60's 2 or 3 times this week. TOP DOWN WEATHER!!!!! Don't need no stinking hardtop.
I have a blog page here that I will post pics on as soon as I have a chance to take some. In the meantime, I'm busy planning the show/trip schedule for the year.

    CLIFFHANGER!

Can't wait to see the pics. I suspect in your past life, you were a burlesque artiste. You have this anticipation thing down to an art.

    Re: Daimler SP250 restoration

A separate Daimler Dart Section - I have a suggestion for a british specific icon

I like being in the Nun of the Above as the input is more varied

    - I have not looked in the Austin Healey or Triumph site in a long time
which is about to change - the various nature of this site makes me think about the standard changes others have wrought to their cars.

I do want to know if any Spitfire, GT6, Herald, Lotus Elan, Elite, 7 has utilized the new Catherham upright - It replaces the lower trunnion with a ball joint - Just looking

and does an Lotus Elite (all Glass) owner have a spare Front Caliper support to copy

I almost had a heart attack - I thought the eBay link was to the brochure - $25,000!

Cool brochure. I've never seen it before.

    Re: Daimler SP250 restoration

The eBay car sold for a nice price, everything considered. One of my prized brochures is the sales piece calling it the Daimler Dart. Must have been done for the intro car shows before they had to change the name. I'll try to post it on my blog page whenever I get the time to start putting some posts on it.

It must be something in the Baltimore water!

You have a blog? I created one too, for my car restoration.

(my attempt at a cliffhanger - notice I didn't post the link)

Lookin good James, lookin good! Put 766 mi. on mine last weekend as I made a test run to North Carolina and back. Hit some very strong thunderstorms and only had slight amount of dripping, nothing I will even try to cure. Otherwise ran great, used about 3/4 of a qt. of oil and got 21 MPG. Ran for hours at 65 and stayed cool. And it is soooooo nice to be able to run with headlights on, wipers on, defrost blower on, GPS on, driving lights on, and not even think about whether the battery is being charged.
    Don't forget the door pockets.

I should take you up on that! Next time I'm there, it will be a shakedown run. It would be nice to blast over to Hamilton to the Winking Judge and back, see if any bits drop off.

Hard to say though - it may very well end up that I'll have Peter do the shakedown and then just send it out by shipping company. Not sure when it will be done. I'm hoping last summer/fall.

    Excellent!

And, uh, no progress. Lack of funds. I'm going to be sending several more thousand (eek!) this month, which will take it a little bit further.

Ah, I visited my friend Geoff in Scotland in the summer. One of his SP250s is a 4.5 (he's currently overhauling it). Notice the body is also flared out as well.

It's a bit misleading, the three pictures I have here, since he has a green 4.5 litre SP in his garage next to another green SP250 with the engine yanked out. There was no engine removal while I was there in between photos!

    Another of his Daimlers:

    And his white 2.5:

I had a good time there, also went to a Daimler meet in Norfolk. Previous to this, the greatest number of SPs I'd seen was six, at the British Car Show in Oakville.
