Holy Crow!
I actually had one of those!
As a woods car that I drove in the pine forest behind my folks house. I co-owned it with my best friend (we put in $10 each).
It had a four-speed on the column and a flathead four. It was fun but a third friend (who always claimed to be an auto expert because this Dad owned a gas station) burned up the clutch when he couldn't get the shift pattern right.
We tried to fix it, but at the time, we were 15 and were distracted by 15 year-old girls.
My Dad eventually took the motor out of it and put it in a boat.
After that, I bought my first car on my own (A-40) and wouldn't let anyone else drive it.
