OC CALIFORNIA RIDE

I friend of mine asked me to sign-up on to this forum, I'm a bit new to this site so bear with me. Apparently he has conducted a few - drives - in the past year and is trying to organize another one on February 15th. Will those interested in cruising together somewhere here in Orange County, CA on that date please respond to this post. A route has not been selected as of yet, however I'm sure that it will be a nice drive regardless of where it goes, or where it leads to. Lunch is to follow. Henri tells me that this has been a great way to get together. I'm looking forward to this myself. He is hoping to get more than the 6 cars that went on the last drive. If you have any questions please speak up.

I was supposed to be in Vegas that weekend for a bowling tournament but I just heard that the Castaways Casino (the old Showboat) just closed. So if the tournament is cancelled count me in. I should know by Tuesday for sure.

Jim, sorry I was called away this past week. A trade show that I needed to attend, so I have been neglectful. I just returned late Sunday evening. I will have a meeting site posted by Wednesday, with our route. Thank you for the reminder.

Sorry to wait until the last minute, have been real busy with work however. We looked at a central place for everyone and came up with the corner of Edinger & Red Hill. There used to be a restaurant at one corner, I think it's gone now. The other corner is a small industrial complex. I think the area where the restaurant was is vacant. So that would be the ideal place to meet. So lets say between 9-9:30 on Sunday. I think we should have 6 to 7 cars going. Maybe some others will join in once this is posted. At the end of the drive we will stop and get some lunch. See you there. Any questions call Henri on his cell at 714-299-1763 he's laying the route out. Anyone seen or heard from DougR? Tried to email him with no answer.

Yes the corner of Red Hill and Edinger Ave is a good point to meet at, the Old Barn has been torn down that was on the NE corner of the intersection, the NW side has the Citrus Grill, it’s a good restaurant. SE corner is where I think you have in mind to meet at between 9 & 9:30 AM. I really wish it was a little later in the day, like 1

M. I go to church and sing in the choir, so… it’s still a possible but as always timing is everything. Possiably I could meet up somewhere along the way?

Sorry I wasn't able to attend. How did it go?

Maybe in the future... Saturday might work better, at least for me. My concert schedule is filling up mostly on Saturday night, but I can usually get away for a 9:AM meeting and drive.

CONCERT: Saturday Feb. 21 (Saturday) 6

M The concert is with The Carolina Boys, The Watchmen and Jericho. Good old fashioned Southern Gospel Music.

The host and address is... Ontario Church of the Nazarene, 1311 W. Fifth St., Ontario, CA
Tickets: $14 from me, $17 at the door. Call me to reserve tickets if you'd like and they will be put on Will Call for you. 714-366-6894

Jim,

Unfortunately it turned out that most of the folks who were interested couldn't make it this time around so Henri had to scrub the mission.

I was primed for a drive so I went ahead on my own. Not knowing the "official" route we went to the SE corner of Redhill & Edinger and made it up as we went along. It was sunny, a bit cool and beautiful.

I'm looking forward to having a crowd next time.
