Sunbeam Talbot

About 1960, I purchased a used Sunbeam Talbot convertable in San Francisco, CA. It had 2 doors, sat 4, steering on the left, red leather
unholstery, a cloth top that would tie half way if desired. I am unsure, but have a vague recollection, that its rear seats were rumble seats. I loved that car, but sold it after 3 or 4 years when it began to self-destruct. I never saw a Talbot before or after I owned mine. I believe
the car was 10 to 12 years old when purchased it, and my search of the internet suggests that it was a 1948 -1950 model.

Is there any way to identify the model I formerly owned and get a photo of it?

Thanks!

Assuming it was a Sunbeam-Talbot 80 or 90, the easiest way to tell the series apart is by the front treatment.

The Mk I came as either an 80 or 90 depending on engine size. Picture the grille with headlights either side and two smaller lamps mounted in the bodywork lower down.

The Mk II only came as the 90. The headlights were moved higher on the wings/fenders. The two smaller lamps were done away with and replaced with small secondary grilles.

Mk IIA was externally identical to Mk II (as far as I recall) except that it did not come with spats over the rear wheels.

The Mk III again had the high mounted headlights per Mk II. The two small grilles either side of the main grille were replaced with a larger set of grilles. The Mk III was only sold as a Sunbeam. The "Talbot" bit was dropped from the name.

If you look at Bob Hamilton's site https://www.sunbeamtalbot.info, you can see the Mk II/IIA front treatment on Bob's cars.
