Planning a trip to the west coast, we were looking through a book from AAA on travel in California and Nevada (dang, AAA puts out a lot of good stuff) trying to chose places to stay, etc (we like B&B's).
In the book I saw an ad for Hampton Inn hotels; I didn't read the text because, like I said, we prefer B&B's. Included was a picture of a couple driving a red convertible viewed from, say, over the rear deck lid so you can see the dashboard, hood and the road beyond, and luggage stuffed in behind the seats.
Then I looked closer. That windshield frame, and the chrome bits for the (missing) sunvisors, looked familiar. As did the curve of the hood. A look at the -- admittedly dark -- dashboard confirmed it; that's a Sunbeam Alpine or Tiger!
Cool.
Never saw a 'Beam in an ad for another product before.
