Our infamous 4-Hour Twilight Enduro is coming up on November 17.
If you're in the area of Summit Point, West Virginia, stop by!

This year, for the first time, I'll co-drive the Twin Cam Escort instead of one of the Spridgets.
And we'll bring Pete's #23 Spridget as a "Plan B" in case the Escort looks bad in the sprint races.
We'll also have Bruce's 1275 Mini too.....that's "Plan C" I guess.

The 4-Hour is an "indexed" race. Slower cars always start first and faster cars start later (up to 30 minutes later for the really fast cars). The car with the most laps by 8 PM is the winner.
It's set up so that the faster cars start catching the slower cars near the end....very exciting!
Especially when you're in a Sprite and are getting "reeled in" by a Viper or a Mustang.

The race starts at 4 PM, so it transitions to darkness. Good headlights, polarized rear view mirrors and good night vision are essential.
In preparation, I'm eating a lot of carrots!

Anyway, the Escort will start about 10 minutes after the slowest cars so we'll have our own "reeling in" to do this time.

If you'd like to volunteer to flag, pit-marshall or whatever, drop a note to my pal Kevin L. (soon!) and he can fill you in on details. ( kevinl407@yahoo.com ). This is a great event to "work".

35.0 miles and 45 minutes from my house to the paddock. If you need anything, I can stop by Pep Boys or Advance Auto. I have only TR3 stuff.

Also, I have a Midget in my yard now. You can take stuff off of it and I'll clear it with the owner later!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/lol.gif Does that rust have any car?

Anyway, Thanks!

(we could have actually used a straight lever shock off a Spridget a few years ago.....got bumped by a Miata during practice and bent the shock arm like a pretzel)

By the way, John, we do actually have a similar car. When the ex-mayor of our town passsed away, his son mentioned to me that they still has his MG and "Did I want it?". A very nice car with low miles driven only by a nice old guy. It had been stored in their barn for about 10 years when I got it. I bought it cheaply and passed it on to one of my brothers, who drives it only in Summers. This is it a few days after I bought it and cleaned it up.

I also have a black RWA Midget that is almost as bad as your picture...I'm planning on "Rat-Rodding" that one.

The blue Sprite in the 2nd picture is a car I bought via the BCF classified section. It yielded many useful parts but was too far gone and was cut up.

Nial, this Midget belongs to a Triumph friend of mine. It was his very first car and he is sentimentally attached to it. Some Triumph friends of ours stored it for him in their huge garage, but they sold the house and moved away, leaving the Midget homeless. He asked the club about storage. I told him that if he didn't find inside storage, I could store it outside in The Soggy Bottom.

So here it sits.
