Update on converting my Evante to EFI and EDI -
I've made a few posts regarding my EFI conversion previously. As anticipated, it's taking twice as long as I thought it would. But hey - it's only costing about 1.5 times as much as I originally thought so I'm about 25% under budget!

The throttle bodies are in. This was easy - just bolt on. But it took me 2 sets of injectors to get that part right. The first set didn't quite fit correctly. (And I'm too embarrassed to tell you how many cables I cut short when I was constructing my wiring loom for the injectors.)
It took a while to find someone to weld new fittings onto my fuel tank without asking for my first born child. (Which was a real problem for me - I've never had kids and it's too late to start now. You'd think they were worried about getting blown up or something.) But Culpepper Tank and Radiator in Suffolk, VA came through on that part for me. It took me about 5 weeks to get back to work on it after I got the completed fuel tank back. ~ But now I got some junk unda hood and some junk in da trunk too!~
The fuel system is overkill. But I found it difficult to find good supplies and pricing on components designed for less than 200 HP - hince the -6 and -8 hoses, regulator, filter, and pump.
I got my Microsquirt ECU some time ago and after much debate decided it will be mounted underneath the passenger seat. I've also bought a VR sensor, trigger wheel, and dual coil pack for wasted spark EDI but I may decide to trigger and distribute off the distributor for a while at first and put this part off until later.
Anyway - thought some of you would be interested in seeing and hearing about the (slow) progress. Hopefully I'll be able to get the wiring and sensors finished over the next 2 - 3 weeks. Maybe I'll even get it started for the first time before Thanksgiving!
