Tea at the Vicarage is really a Saturday afternoon outing in the true British tradition. Meeting on the campus of Howe Military school, the entrants set off around LaGrange and St. Joseph Counties in search of answers to cryptic clues. The route will take you through the heart of Amish country and, after some forty miles, will return you to Howe where you can indulge yourself with your prepared picnic on the lawn outside the Howe Mansion. The John B. Howe Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The 18th annual exhibition of British automobiles, British Car Day 2002, will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2002, 9am to 4 pm, at Eastwood MetroPark in Dayton. Oh. The event is presented by the Southwestern Ohio Centre of the MG Car Club and the Miami Valley Triumphs in cooperation with Five Rivers MetroParks.
Over 250 cars attended the 2001 event. Cars will compete for awards in 23 classes, based on participants choice balloting. Special awards include the MetroParks Ranger’s Choice Award, The Longest Drive, The Royal Air Force Award and Best of Show, presented by the British Museum of Transportation in Dayton, Oh.
Vendors will be on hand with both new and used parts, clothing and memorabilia. A full service concession stand is also open all day, and commemorative t-shirts are for sale. All entrants receive dash plaques.
Advance registration is $10, and includes a free BCD 2000 t-shirt if received before July 26, 2002. Day of show registration is $10. Spectators are admitted free.

View some of England's best 2 & 4-wheeled transportation at a great location, Freedom Hill Park in Sterling Heights. There will be food concessions on the grounds or you can pack a picnic lunch to enjoy. British car concours will include 39 classes with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each. Participants will select their favorite cars in 13 categories, including "Best in Show," and special awards will be presented for "Chairman's Choice" and "President's Preference." Many vendors will be on site and centrally located. Part of this year's proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Macomb and the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.

This is the 15th Annual British Heartland Autofest. On Saturday there will be a scenic drive followed by a dinner with door prizes. Sunday is an autoshow in the Village of East Davenport, Iowa. There are 21 different classes in which awards will be given to the top three cars which get the most participants votes. Best of Show and Longest Distance awards will be given. This year the event has a major sponsor which is Genesis Health Systems. Pre-registration is prefered so that all cars can be parked within the proper class. Cost is $15 for 1st car & $5 per car thereafter for entrants who register before Aug 12. After Aug 12 the fee will be $20 for the 1st car & $5 per car thereafter.
