I'm Really Confused

As a new TVR owner, I've emailed many suppliers inquiring about parts and such. Most of them reply. Then I ask another pertinent question about the product, or pricing, or availability, and I never hear from them again. This is not an exception, but the rule. It's happened with every supplier I've contacted, and I've contacted just about all of them. One reply, then no more.
What's the deal? Don't they want to sell me parts? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Why don't you try calling, instead of just email? I've found that a lot of people are just either too busy or too lazy to devote the time necessary to email back and forth. If you can just give them a call, they seem to be a bit more responsive.

...I find this to be especially true for niche market cars/parts.

Any chance they are replying but their email is ending up in your SPAM bucket? I know I get a lot of legitimate email from businesses that wind up in my SPAM folder. Just a thought.

The telephone is your friend when you have specific parts and diagnostic questions... imagine how many of those types of questions they get emailed everyday? It'd be in your best interest to call some of them. Just my 2Β’ worth.

hold down the "alt" key and on the number pad hit 155, when you let up on the Alt key the Β’ is there. there's tons more, but most don't translate to others browsers... play around with the character map in windows, and you'll see all that's available locally to your computer.

Oh, and thanks for noticing... I've waited a year for someone to ask how I did that. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Yes, I'm easily amused.

I started with dos 1.0 then upgraded to 6.11 or something like that, then windows 1.0, windows 95, windows 98se (my favorite), and then xp home... kinda sucks, but useable. To continue the thread hijacking... hows Vista?
