Hello from the Southeastern USA.
I'm a new LBC owner and although fairly mechanical I've got some issues with my '67 series V that are out of my comfort range. After removing the exhaust manifold to replace a striped stud I was looking into the "ports"(to see what I could see) and the first two exhaust valves seem ok but the 3+4 don't, they've got a build up on them that looks like fried rubber(I don't really know what it is) anyway I believe the head is in need of a rebuild.. any engine mechanics out there ?? In the Atlanta, Georgia or surrounding areas.
Any advice from folk not in this area? It would be great to be driving this spring,as we missed most of the fall driving days due to a few other problems.
Thanks for your advice and comments.
