'06-'07 Jaguar XK battery issue.

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone with new XKs might be having any issues with the battery dying.
Our showroom XKs sometimes need to be charged because of dead batteries. No other model(Xtype,Stype,XJ,older XK) has this problem. And getting to the batteries on these is such a pain, especially on the convertables.
In my opinion, it might have something to do with the wireless key system.
If you guys have any input, I appreciate it.

Have you asked your service department whether they might have a service bulletin on this?

Yeah, i've checked and there are no TSBs on this.

I would imagine that showroom models have the doors, trunk, etc. frequently opened, thereby turning on interior lights. Assuming the car is infrequently started, the battery is drained. As to why this seems more of a problem on the XK's than other models, I haven't a clue. Do XK owners report a problem? If not, again I would assume that owners' driving of the XKs recharges the battery.
One solution might be a battery maintainer that can be hooked into the cigarette lighter.

I use a battery maintainer in my XK8....Although I'd love to drive it, I gotta move 3 cars to get it outta the garage....so it does alot of sitting.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we can't have battery maintainers plugged into all the cars. Every once in a while we'll open up the showroom doors and run them for a couple mins in the morning, but we only seem to be having problems with the new XK's. We still believe it might be an issue with the wireless-key technology.

Well Andre, here is a thought if you do not resolve it some other way. Put a battery maintainer on one car at a time during hours when the business is closed. Charging a different car every day should keep them all up.--Fwiw--Keoke
