Ok, so here's the follow up to the front end work I did over the winter. My wife and I took the car for a short road trip from Prince George to Vancouver last weekend, which is approximately 500miles each way. The old car ran like a top, no more shimmy at 55 mph, in fact the car ran best at speeds varying from 65-75 mph. The fraser canyon was an absolute blast. This trip really confirmed my belief in little sports cars. We left the top down, even though there were some spots with snow and ice still on the sides of the road (a tad bit chilly). The only thing unique (mechanical wise) about the trip was coming home we started running rough on three of the longest hills. The car has new fuel filter, no water in the tank, and the outside air temp was 0C. Best I can figure is I experienced Carb Ice similiar to that in a small aircraft. Has anybody else experienced anything like that. I guarantee the conditions were ideal for it and I did check to ensure it wasn't anything mechanical.?
