Working on my Miata seat conversion while my 6 is off getting some work done. Does anyone have a seat bracket laying around and could mesaure the mounting holes measurements ( side to side, front to back ) so I can get a feel for the brackets I have to make? Thanks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

I'm sorry, but I was away and didn't see your post. I think that I still have a set of seat tracks out in the garage and if you can wait until I get home tomorrow night, I can measure and post for you.

Do you want the (4) holes into the floor pan or the (2) mounting brackets at the front of the tracks that the seat hinges on?

OK, here it is, confusing as it may be. I measured the mounting holes and I believe them to be staggered somewhat, due to the position of the bolts and marks that were left on the old tracks.

You have from front to back, going from center to center of the holes: 14 1/4" and 15 1/4". It appears that the outer side will have both bolts at 14 1/4" and the inner at 15 1/4". I would make my new brackets with holes in all four possible positions so you can't go wrong. They are equally 11 1/4" apart from side to side. See attachment for what I mean.

I nearly forgot about this photo. It will show how the 15 1/4" spacing is used on the inner sides of the seats along the tunnel. Bottom left shows old left and right carpets from my 1974 TR6 and holes where track bolts went through.
