Anybody have good suggestions for getting tree sap off the car without harming the paint? TIA

There's a product called 'goo gone'....suppose to be good for that stuff.....I'd try a rag with a touch of varsol first...then some wax.

Try 3M Hand Glaze. Clear bottle, tan liquid. Very good all around cleaner. If your paint is oxidized, you will quickly be reminded of the car's original color. Good on bird droppings and bug splat. Won't harm your painted surfaces.

WD-40 - Yep, don't laugh - it works.

WD 40 works. Actually, mineral spirits work extremely well, and all you should do is hit it afterwards with some quick detailer and reapply wax over the spot (which you'd need to do with any other product.)
