tr3 priming the oil pump
I am about to start my 61 tr3 engine with the body off and I was priming the oil pump with a drill, does anyone know how much oil this should throw. I am using a ½ drill motor, so I think I have enough power. I have oil coming out the line at the oil gauge (gauge not hooked up and body off the frame) Is the oil suppose to actually come up through the rocker shaft or is this just going to prime the pump? How long should I run the drill? any comments appreciated.
