Weird Mini fastback in Australia [Mini Monaco?]

A rather strange looking Mini with a fastback style, I'm leaning towards homebuilt, the owner apparently called it a Mini Monaco

I'm sure some of you guys know of Aussie Bill Buckle, produced some of his own sports cars between 1955 and 1961 under the name Buckle. I guess he converted some Mini's into these Mini Monaco's around 1966 - my information doesn't say how many were ever made.

Yup! Happy New Year, just finished watching a great Flames/Oilers game, of course Calgary beat Edmonton, yay!

Wow, that's slick. And I like the ferrari 250 driving by in the background too!

Sorry that's a Datsun - lol! I still like it. I was wondering why it looked so small.

Custom fiberglass work... followed by making a mold (more fiberglass and wood), and then turning out the 30 cool looking cars! I'm planning something similar (but not as grandiose) for a fibreglass boot cover/tonneau on the B... Maybe the Alfa too!

Cool.... The Twini Mini is about the coolest engineering exercize in that whole site. And probably the most power a sorta-stock mini has ever had... (outside of the vtech honda transplants).
